Picture this: you wake up on a Saturday, drive to Ikea at 10am, walk through the automatic doors, and get lost for 3 hours until youâre extremely hangry. While youâre desperately searching for your way out, you stumble upon a massive cafeteria carrying its flagship item of none other than a plate of mini meatballs. The mixture of built up hanger and the smell of food start to take over, as you see a line of people already waiting with a tray. You realize that only after you sit down and have a meal in the Ikea cafeteria, are you allowed to leave. (Fiction of course!)
Honestly I love how a furniture store can pull off food so delicious. Itâs the way they have full on living room set ups for you to sit in while eating, that make you want to go right back in the store and buy a new coffee table. The perfect blend of retail strategy & juxtaposition. I will always treasure a random little trip to Ikea with my man, as long I: 1) actually need something from the store and 2) have recovered from the last trip. Lol
*Bonus points if your vocal stim is âHej!â after the outing.
